This marker tells the story of an unknown Confederate soldier who's body was shipped home to Allatoona, Georgia with no other information. He was buried along the tracks in an unknown location.
Local historians believe that the burial at this spot was not his, but rather that of Private Andrew Jackson Houston of Mississippi.
Nevertheless, there was an iron fence and gravestone at this location until the railroad was rerouted. At that time, it was moved.
